There is no more ...

There is no more lively location than the center of the time Square in New York city. However, it is also very busy throughout the day and night, especially the weekend, while traffic is massive. Very retro hotel, the rooms is rather in need of upgrading. The air conditioning was very loud and not strong enough to keep the room cool even after cooling for a long while. With many elevators, yet there is often a line up to get on the elevator to go back to the room even during a weekday. There is a 40$ per night fee for a bunch of service that isn't useful nor commonly charged globally (e.g. wifi?) The only upside is that it includes a breakfast voucher, or you are forcefully made to purchase for a grab and go breakfast. Sit in options will cost $5 & tax.

Great location but still ...

Great location but still quite overpriced. Front desk was extremely inefficient and claimed they didn't have our company card on file (they did). Room was decent but found a big roach.

I have stayed at ...

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years, and on this visit I was disappointed. The room I booked was not at all like the photos on their website. Although it was the same layout as the photos, my room looked like it had not been updated in 30 years. The A/C did not work the three nights we were there. The "free breakfast" is not free since you have to pay $6.50 to sit down at a table. Why not just charge for the meal rather than say it's free? The location is perfect for Broadway theaters. The staff are New York friendly. Overall I probably will not stay there again.
